What’s Included in Our 7-Step Select Lawn Care Program?

When you’ve taken the time to invest in a beautifully landscaped yard, you want to ensure that your investment is protected and nourished to remain at its healthiest. Nature’s Select Premium Turf Services, Inc. gives your lawn the TLC it needs with our Select Lawn Care year-long, 7-step program. Read below to find out how this thorough program protects from disease, nourishes the soil, and fertilizes your lawn for maximum health.

Steps 1 and 2: Spring 1 and 2 Applications

The first step of our program is applied between January and March and provides an excellent nitrogen source combined with organic and biological products. Also included in this application are controls for crabgrass and broadleaf weeds. Then, between March and May, this combination is completed again as the second spring application.

Step 3: Summer 1 Application

Once summer begins (between May and June), we administer an application that provides a slow-release liquid fertilizer source. Iron, micro-nutrients, biologicals, and organics are also provided, and weed control is applied as needed.

Step 4: Summer 2 Application

The end of summer (between July and August) lawn application provides lime and organic material in granular form. Solu-cal® is used because it activates quickly, allowing rapid pH adjustment. And again, controls for weeds are applied as needed.

Step 5: Fall 1 Application

Fall is the time that we recommend taking advantage of our aeration and overseeding services, so our August to October application is designed to work alongside that. This application is a high phosphorus, granular fertilizer that provides a slow-release feeding that is beneficial to new seedlings as well as established turf.

Step 6: Fall 2 Application

The end of fall application is a simple one, a granular fertilizer with organic products that we apply between August and October. It helps your lawn stay fresh and green throughout the fall.

Step 7: Winterization

Finally, between November and January, it's time to winterize your lawn. This application provides a much-needed nitrogen source for the lawn. The cold weather months are the time of the year when food sources are absorbed and stored in the root system of the turf in preparation for the spring growth explosion.

At Nature’s Select, we make it our mission to defend and nourish your lawn. We are happy to answer any questions you may have on how our eco-friendly treatment programs can nurture your Winston-Salem property. Contact us at (888) 786-9735 or request your free online estimate today.
